Adams & Adams celebrates one year in Mozambique

Adams & Adams celebrates a year of operations in Mozambique since opening its offices in Maputo in July last year.
The office is headed by partners Carlos Martins and Élio Teixeira.
Adams & Adams has been actively involved in intellectual property matters in Mozambique and was recently honoured by the Mozambique Industrial Property Institute for applying for the first trade mark in the country – that of the firm itself.
Adams & Adams chairman Chris Job accepted the award from the Minister of Industry and Commerce during the recent celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of its industrial property system and the fifth anniversary of the establishment of an Intellectual Property Office.
To promote research in the area of IP law in Mozambique, the firm recently sponsored a prize for the Mozambican student with the best dissertation submitted in IP law. Three Mozambican universities, Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, Universidade Politécnica and the Instituto Superior de Ciências e Tecnologia de Moçambique, participated.

R22 Million settlement for motor vehicle accident
