Adams & Adams appoints five new partners

Adams & Adams has appointed five new partners, Ferdi Myburg, Dale Healy, Mandy Gordon, James Davies and Kgabo Serokolo.
Myburg joined the firm in 1986 in the Trade Mark Department, where he is responsible for the maintenance of trade marks and oversees the trade mark renewal section. He specialises in the post-registration of trade marks such as renewals and assignments. He holds a BLC LLB degree.
Healy joined Adams & Adams in 2003 in the Trade Mark Litigation Department, where he is responsible for litigation on trade marks, including infringement, cancellation and opposition proceedings, passing off and unlawful competition proceedings under the common law, anti-counterfeiting actions and procedures, copyright infringement and domain name disputes. He holds an LLB degree from the University of Pretoria, qualified as a trade mark practitioner in 2005 and is a fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law.
Gordon joined the firm in 2003 in the Trade Mark Litigation Department, where she is responsible for trade mark, copyright, passing off and Counterfeit Goods Act litigation, as well as domain name and advertising disputes. She holds a BA LLB degree from Stellenbosch University, qualified as a trade mark practitioner in 2006 and is a fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law.
Davies joined Adams & Adams in 2004 in the Patent Department, where he is responsible for drafting patent specifications and filing and prosecuting local and foreign patent and industrial design applications. He specialises in electronic and computer-related inventions. Davies holds a BEng degree in Electronics and an LLB, both from the University of Pretoria.
Serokolo joined Adams & Adams in 2006 in the General Law Department. As a conveyancer she attends to the transfer of property, registration and cancellation of bonds and all related property aspects. She holds an LLB degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and was admitted as an attorney and conveyancer in 2005.
