Adams & Adams appoints three new partners

Adams & Adams is proud to announce that three new partners have been promoted from its own professional staff with effect from 1 September 2011.
We take this opportunity to congratulate them and wish them ongoing success in their careers with the firm.
Godfrey Budeli - Godfrey specialises in trade mark litigation, passing-off, copyright litigation, Counterfeit Goods Act litigation and Close Corporation and Company name objections. He is a member of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces, Black Lawyers Association, American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa and a student member of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL). He holds an LLB from the University of Pretoria and an LLM from the University of Cape Town. Godfrey was admitted as an attorney in 2006.
Jac Marais - Jac specialises in all aspects relating to competition law, trade law and general commercial litigation. He is a member of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces and the Law Society’s Competition Law Committee. He holds an LLB and BA (Value and Policy Studies) from the University of Stellenbosch, as well as a Certificate in Competition Law from the University of Witwatersrand. Jac was admitted as an attorney in 2009.
Tiaan Smuts - Tiaan specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution inclusive of: consumer protection, construction, corporate infrastructure, franchising, information technology, insurance, international trade, product liability and restraints of trade. He is a member of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces and the Association of Pretoria Attorneys. He holds an LLB from the University of Pretoria and was admitted as an attorney in 2007.
