The Republic of Chad is an independent state formerly part of French Equatorial Africa. It is bordered in the north by Libya, in the east by Sudan, in the south by the Central African Republic and in the west by Cameroun, Nigeria and Niger.

Notice of registration by use of the legend ‘Marque Déposée’ optional.
Products of non-French origin must not be marked to give the impression that they are made in France, or in any country other than the country of origin. There are special regulations covering certain goods. Marks of origin are required on a wide range of imported goods. The indication of origin may be in French or English, with the exception of a few food items that require French. The same indication of origin should appear on cases and packages.
